District Receives Funding for Phase II Wastewater Project

LKWSD-Grant-inviteThe Lockwood Water & Sewer District received more than $6.2 million in loans and grants to help fund phase II of their wastewater project at a press conference event last Friday at the Lockwood Water & Sewer District offices.  The funding and presentation were delivered from the USDA Rural Development in conjunction with the Montana Governor’s Economic Development Office.

Rural Development Montana State Office released the following information in regards to the presentation.

This is an important stage in the project; this funding represents a strong commitment and significant investment by USDA and the State of Montana to the long-term success of Lockwood says James Pendleton.

021Lockwood Water & Sewer District representatives gave an update on the wastewater project as they are beginning phase II of the project.

Local representatives and others were gathered for the unveiling of the presentation.

The G.O bond ballot election for those phase II residents is November 5th and have already been sent out by mail.  District representatives stated that a good amount of phase II mail ballots have been returned but won’t know the results until the evening of Nov. 5th.
