For the 33rd year in a row, the Lockwood School Board has received the Golden Gavel Award from the Montana School Board Association. The award was presented at the MTSBA’s annual Conference of Education Leadership, which was held in Missoula.
No school in the state has established a record that even begins to compare to Lockwood’s achievement in earning the Golden Gavel, an award achieved when every member of the board gets 16 hours of training annually, as provided by MTSBA. MTSBA is a service organization that serves Montana schools boards in a wide variety of ways.
