Chairman Steps Down, Treasurer Takes The Reigns

May 22nd marked the last meeting that Lockwood Steering Committee Chairman Don Reed headed up the monthly community meetings at the Lockwood School administration building.  Bob Riehl, who is currently the treasurer of the Lockwood representative group to the Yellowstone County Commissioners, will be carrying the torch for the community group.

Incoming Chairman Bob Riehl presented outgoing chairman Don Reed with a plaque of recognition and appreciation for the many years of support and dedication for the Lockwood community.

Representative Jonathan McNiven and State Senator Taylor Brown, who were not able to attend the monthly meeting due to other obligations, expressed their gratitude for all Don has done for the Lockwood area. Representative McNiven wrote,

“Please let Don know of Taylor and my appreciation for all that Don has done for Lockwood, in coming to Helena on certain bills and committee hearings, In supporting Lockwood issues as well as other Lockwood community meetings.  He has helped the Lockwood cause move forward and many good things have come because he was willing to participate and volunteer his time and efforts to his community over the years.  To that and for many other reasons,  Lockwood continues to be a better place.  Please thank him

The Lockwood Steering Committee’s function and role is to represent the Lockwood community and provide a public forum at their monthly meeting and report for the Districts with in the Lockwood area.  Currently, the Steering Committee is also assisting the Meda (Montana Economic Development Associations) Group updates.
