Open Burning Banned April 14th

Per Yellowstone County Emergency Services Director Duane Winslow,

Dangerous fire weather conditions are expected on Tuesday. South to southwest winds of 15 to 30 mph, with gusts of 35 to 45 mph, will combine with very low humidity levels to create critical fire weather conditions. A strong cold front will push across the area late Tuesday afternoon and evening. This front will create a dramatic wind shift to the northwest, along with generating isolated thunderstorms. These conditions will be favorable for rapid fire growth. Use caution and avoid anything that can start a fire. Please check recent controlled burns to make sure they are completely out, even those from several days ago.
