Billings Bypass Final EIS Has been Published

Billings Bypass FEIS Statement Open HouseThe Billings Bypass Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) has been published and is available for review, according to the Montana Department of Transportation, Stephen Streeter – District Administrator.  The final EIS document is available for review and download on the MDOT website.

An informal open house has been set for Wednesday, April 09, 2014 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Bitterroot Elementary School Gymnasium           1801 Bench Blvd Billings, MT.  Those interested in the process and next steps for the Height to Lockwod connection are encouraged to come and ask questions and see the newly released documents and map.

General_StudyArea_Alternate Map-Billings-BypassThe Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) issued a Final EIS for a transportation project to improve access and connectivity between I-90 and Old Hwy 312 in the eastern portion of the Billings urban area. Three alternatives were identified for detailed evaluation in the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS).
